More house concerts in Landaff

From Brenda Adam:

Hi Everyone,

A few weeks ago I sent out a notice about the upcoming Ellis Paul house concert on Sunday March 17th. I tried something I had never tried before - to encourage people to commit to a reservation by paying in advance. The experiment has not worked out so I would like to revert to the usual way of doing this.....if you are interested in the Ellis Paul house concert, just reserve via email or by calling me at 603-823-7061. There is no need to purchase your tickets in advance. If you have already contacted me to reserve, there is no need to do so again. But I will definitely need more reservations for this concert to go forward. The potluck begins at 5:30 and the music starts at 7:00 p.m. Please contact me soon if you want to attend. $20.

Ellis Paul is as true as they come. Here is an excerpt from an interview with him:

The Day Everything Changed is a profound collection of songs but the title song is one that nearly everyone who listens to it can identify with.  Being at that crossroads and wondering which path to take...   Your song style is very conversational and undoubtedly your fans feel a closeness to you when they hear songs like this.  Is it fair to say that your fans have come to rely on you as a touchstone for many of life's big and even small events?
I just write 'em. And pray. I pray they feed my kids. Pray they pay my mortgage. Pray they're heard. Pray they Move somebody. Make toes wiggle. Tears fall. Lips hum. Minds open. Hearts expand. Pray people come to hear them in person. Pray they turn off American Idol and the Karrdashians.

Other important concert dates:
Thursday, March 7th at 7:00 p.m. at Northern Lights Music in Littleton: Guitarist Richard Smith, the 2001 National Fingerstyle Champion. At the age of 11, Richard Smith played with Chet Atkins onstage in London. "The most amazing guy I know on the guitar. He can play anything I know, only better." Chet Atkins. Contact NLM for reservations: 603-444-7776.

Sunday, March 17th at 7:00 p.m. (with  5:30 potluck) at my Easton house: troubadour Ellis Paul,  one of the leading voices in American songwriting.

Saturday, May 4th at 8:00 p.m. (with 6:30 potluck) at my Easton house: Guitarist Steve Kaufman, three time National Flatpicking Champion. (Steve will conduct a weekend long all level flatpicking guitar workshop at Northern Lights Music on Friday and Saturday. More information is attached.)

Sunday, October 20th: at my Easton House: straight from the UK, guitarist/singer/songwriter Sarah McQuaid. Sarah will be conducting two DADGAD guitar workshops earlier that day in my studio. There will be the usual potluck to follow and then a house concert. Details will be sent out later. If you are into alternate guitar tunings, these workshops are worth taking! Sarah has written an amazing book on DADGAD. I own the book and I took the workshops a year ago. She is amazing!

I know there is a lot of information in this email! Mark your calendars before you forget! And please contact me soon about Ellis Paul.

Thanks so much!

Brenda
